The Species Diversity of Tropical Freshwater Rotifers (Rotifera: Monogononta) in Relation to Environmental Factors

This study aims to evaluate the diversity of rotifers in various freshwater habitats Da Nang City, Vietnam, and investigate relationship between community structure environmental conditions. A total 75 rotifer species belonging 25 genera 17 families were recorded, out which seven are new Vietnam. Species from Brachionidae Lecanidae abundant (containing about 50% 69.44%, respectively) both lacustrine riverine habitats. The number recorded lakes (64 taxa) was much higher than those rivers (36 taxa), this is possibly due conditions being more favorable for development small zooplanktons. significant influences factors (temperature, pH, turbidity, trophic state) on well-reflected distribution commonly found (p-value < 0.05). Our results enrich data ecology
